Day 4
Wenceslas Square
We have reached the final day of our itinerary on how to spend 4 days in Prague. Use your last day to explore Post WWII in Prague. There is a great walking guide inside the Rick Steve’s Guidebook. The tour will bring you to Wenceslas Square where the Soviets marched in their tanks after chasing off the Nazis. It wouldn’t be until 1990 that Czechoslovakia would hold it’s first Democratic election after Soviets brought Communism to its streets 41 years earlier.
The National History Museum is the large building at the top of the square. Admission is free but the lines to get in are very long so be prepared to wait.
See (another) Opera or Concert
If you didn’t attend a concert at the Municipal House, you have dozens of more opportunities. There are classical concerts everywhere including near Prague Castle, in the Spanish Synagogue, and the National Theatre. For a more visual performance, you can catch an Opera or Ballet. Prague has always been the cultural capital of the Czech Republic. Even if Mozart or Macbeth isn’t your thing, you should still attend a performance and appreciate how much music and dance influenced the Bohemian Empire.
So Concludes our itinerary on how to spend 4 days in Prague. If you have some time to spend in Europe consider visiting Budapest in Hungary! Click here for our 2 Day Itinerary for Budapest.
Chad can be summed up by his idea of a perfect day: Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the mountains, warm cup of coffee in hand then grabbing his camera and fly rod, hitting the trail to explore some uncharted territory followed by cold beers and campfire steaks. Chad is often joined on his adventures by his wife, Tori, and their dog, Kona.
